ShineBoard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

ShineBoard is a job-management app for short-term-rental cleaning — it helps property hosts and cleaning teams schedule jobs, run photo-backed checklists, and coordinate work. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

In this policy, “ShineBoard,” “we,” “us,” and “our”refer to Landes Studios, a DBA of Professional Bad Guys LLC, the operator of the ShineBoard app and theshineboard.app website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the Service needs to work. That falls into a few categories:

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and — if you choose to add it — aphone number. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase); we do not store your password in readable form.

Content you create in the app

Booking calendar feeds

If you connect an external booking calendar (an iCal feed), we periodically read it to schedule cleaning jobs around your reservations. We ingest event dates and times; we do not need or use guest identities for this.

Device & notification data

To deliver notifications we store a push notification token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging along with your device platform (Android or iOS). The token is tied to your signed-in account and removed when you sign out.

Diagnostic logs

When something in the app fails, we record limited diagnostic context — the screen and operation involved, an error message, a stack trace, and related technical details — so we can find and fix bugs. These logs are not used to profile you.

What we don't do: we do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs.

2. How we use your information

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, in the EEA/UK), we rely on: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, your consent (for example, device notification permission), and compliance with legal obligations.

3. Camera & photos

The app can use your device camera and photo library so cleaners can capture proof-of-cleaning and issue/damage photos for a job. These photos are uploaded to our secure storage (hosted by Supabase) and are visible only to members of your organization and the associated host, according to the app's access rules. We do not use your photos for any other purpose.

4. Push notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications for things like job assignments and reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

5. Sharing & sub-processors

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for them to do so:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseBackend hosting: database, authentication, and photo/file storage.
Google Firebase Cloud MessagingDelivering push notifications to your device.
ResendSending transactional account emails (confirmation, password reset).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you of any material change.

Within the Service, your data is shared with the people you work with: members of your cleaning organization, and hosts and cleaning organizations that are connected through the app, based on the access controls built into it.

6. Data about other people

If you enter information about other people — for example, your own customers or guests — you are responsible for having the right to provide it, and for informing them how their information is used. We process that information on your behalf to provide the Service to you.

7. Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Diagnostic logs are kept only for a limited period.

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these, use the in-app account controls or contact us at the address in Section 14. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Deleting your account

You can request account deletion from within the app, or by emailing us atprivacy@shineboard.app. Deleting your account removes your profile and the personal information associated with it, and removes your device from our notification list. Some content you contributed to shared workspaces may remain in anonymized form so your teammates' records stay intact.

10. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, row-level access controls that limit data to the people and organizations entitled to see it, and restricted access to stored files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address issues promptly.

11. Children

The Service is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Where data is processed

Our providers store and process data on servers in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
